Bringing Our Blood Centers To You
Almost 80% of the blood we collect is donated on our bloodmobiles, portable units and express units, and we understand why.
Busy schedules can prevent even the most community-minded individuals from visiting our blood centers. So we bring the blood
centers to you with a fleet of 35 bloodmobiles, five van-style portable units and two camper-size express units.

Because these vehicles are in use seven days a week, the wear and tear are extraordinary. Still, we manage to keep them on the
job for an average of eight years and retire a vehicle only when it has traveled more than 500,000 miles.
These mobile units are absolutely vital to our efforts. We would like to expand the fleet, and there is an almost constant need
to replace older vehicles. But they are expensive:
